SALON & SPA POLICIES

Welcome!

We're so excited to have you as a new guest and cannot wait to meet you.

Arrival

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment (spa) to fill out any paperwork as well as change into robes and slippers and to allow your service to start on time.

Confirmation Calls

As a courtesy to the guests of Utopia, 48 hours prior to your appointment(s) you will receive a conformation text that you will need to reply to. If you do not confirm and we are unable to reach you by 12 pm, one day prior to your scheduled appointment, we will cancel that appointment, and a rebooking fee will apply before you may schedule again. Please be mindful that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed appointments and a potential cancellation fee.

While we don't like to charge for last minute cancellations and no-show appointments, please understand that our staff work on commission and many appointments are blocked for several hours to ensure you get all the time you need to achieve your desired look. These time slots are hard to fill last minute, therefore please see our below policies:

No Call/ No Show Appointments

 

 A guest that does not notify us to cancel or reschedule or does not show up on the scheduled date and time of your appointment you will be charged 100% of the service(s) originally scheduled. In the event the service(s) booked are color/ blonding appointments, the services are charged at a rate of $100 per hour booked. These charges must be paid up in order to reschedule in the future.

Cancelled, Late or Missed Appointments

Your appointments are very important to the Staff at Utopia Salon and Day Spa. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations. If you are late and can't receive your service, cancel or make changes to your appointment less than 24 hours in advance you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee of the service(s) originally scheduled. Your stylist may choose to take a deposit to secure future appointments. If this is a recurring issue your stylist may refuse to provide you with future services.

As with most cancellation policies there are exceptions. We understand that emergencies happen.  We have multiple lines of communication options. Please reach out via text, email, dm or by phone for extenuating circumstances.

Credit Card on File/ Deposit  

A credit card is required to be kept on file to schedule any long color/ blonding appointment and spa appointments. We require at least 48 hours' notice to CANCEL OR MAKE ANY CHANGES to an appointment. In the event 48 hours' notice is not given for a cancellation/rescheduling, your credit card will be charged 50% of the service that was scheduled.

NO CALL/NO SHOWS will be charged 100% of the service that was scheduled at the rate of $100 per hour for salon services.

Pricing Structure (Salon)

Services vary in price depending on length of hair, thickness of hair, time required, and products involved to achieve your desired look. We have a two-tier pricing system for our stylists which is made up of skill level and years in the industry. When available we have New Talent stylists. Inquire if available when booking.  Feel free to ask your stylist if you are unsure how our pricing structure works or schedule a consultation, and we would be more than happy to help.

Refunds

We DO NOT offer refunds. If for whatever reason you are unhappy with your service, please notify Utopia Salon and Day Spa within a week of your appointment and your stylist will be more than happy to make an adjustment within their schedule. If you choose to not return to the same stylist, we can offer another one.

Due to the chemical nature of a perm, they are non-refundable, and we are unable to perm back-to-back for the integrity of the hair. Please discuss your expectations with the stylist.

No Children/ Animals

Although we are huge animal lovers (service animals only), and we do love kids- for the enjoyment of your salon experience and the relaxation of other guests, children and animals are not permitted in the spa/salon. Children may receive services as long as they are accompanied by a parent. Children under the age of 16 receiving spa services must have a parent in the treatment room for the whole service and a consent release form filled out.

Devices

Please feel free to bring your device, tablet, iPad or laptop with you to your appointment. We ask that all devices be used on “silent” or with headphones to ensure a relaxing experience for all our clients both in the salon and spa.

Gift Cards

You can purchase a gift card in person, over the phone, online or through email utopiahawley@gmail.com We love being a part of a wonderful gift you may give to a loved one, friend or coworker. When you purchase a gift card from us, you are purchasing a promise that we will give that recipient the best Utopia Salon and Day Spa experience we offer!

Spa Parties

Whether you're celebrating a bachelorette party, a pre-wedding get together with your girls or relaxing for the weekend on Lake Wallenpaupack, we are here to help make your time with us great! Book a fun and nurturing day with Utopia Salon and Day Spa's quality staff. Our services range from body polishes to facials to full body Swedish massages, finish off your day with blowouts in our salon before you head out the door to explore the rest of the quaint town of Hawley.

Beverages

Complimentary water, coffee, and tea assortments are available during your service.

 

Robes/ Lockers

Robes and slippers are provided for all couple services and back-to-back spa services where the guests unclothe twice. (example: massage and facial) For spa services, professional draping techniques are always practiced for a comfortable and discreet experience. Disposable undergarments are available at client's request. We provide personal lockers and private changing rooms for your convenience. This space is co-ed. Please undress only in the locker rooms. 

Lost Items/ Attire 

We recommend that you visit our spa dressed comfortably, and that you leave all jewelry and other valuables at home, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged items.

 

Relaxation Room/ Quiet Area

For the most relaxing experience we do not allow the use of electronics in the spa. Please silence your phones. 

 

Sanitation/ Hygiene

In keeping with our commitment to cleanliness, safety and hygiene, we sanitize and sterilize all equipment for each service and treatment. To protect our environment, as well as your health and beauty, in and around Utopia Salon and Day Spa property is smoke-free.

Lost & Found

Utopia Salon and Day Spa is not responsible for lost or stolen items on the property. We do have a Lost & Found if an item is found or left behind. We will keep the item(s) for 3 months from your appointment date or time it was found and then it will be donated or disposed of.
